The History of Berean Baptist Church
Berean Baptist Church began in the spring of 1957 with a handful of people hungering for a fundamental gospel witness in Ogden. Five years later, the church broke ground for the present auditorium.
The church struggled for existence during those early years, yet God in His grace and goodness sustained us and established us.
Over twenty-five years ago, Berean started a Christian academy, which, through the years, has helped many families in giving their children a truly Christian education. Several years after founding the Academy, the church added a school wing with offices, classrooms, and a multi-use gymnasium.
In September of 2001, God took our Pastor, Mark Short, home through a tragic accident. Dave Mallinak, our current pastor, served as Pastor Short's assistant for four years before he became Pastor in 2001.
